Project: The Buzz on the Red Carpet
QVC wanted to develop a Social TV initiative around their Academy Awards red carpet special ‘The Buzz on the Red Carpet’, which included social conversation on live TV.
never.no’s Interactivity Suite was used to harvest some of the social comments circulating Twitter during the broadcast. Viewer’s tweets were displayed live on-air, generating great enthusiasm from the audience who even sent pictures of their tweets on the TV to the QVC social media team.
During the three hour broadcast, QVC (combined with their celebrity guests), saw an increase of over 600% in social traffic coming through the Interactivity Suite.
