QVC has always been engaged with its audience through phone calls and a robust online community, and has used STORY for years to bring viewer’s social content to their on-air programming. From awards show coverage and celebrity specials to daily programming, QVC has used never.no to get social media comments to a variety of screens.
The latest project, Beauty With Benefits, employs the STORY-VR (Video Rendering) module to update Beauty with Benefits promos for linear and nonlinear screens with fresh content from the audience.
Viewers have the opportunity to upload a photo of their ‘brave face’ on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with hashtag #BraveisBeautiful for a chance to appear on-air and win a beauty prizepack.
Each week, QVC selects 3 winners to appear in the socially-enhanced promos for broadcast and social channels. STORY-VR is used to gather the incoming #BraveisBeautiful social content, review and choose the winning images then render multiple new promos within minutes.
Updated promos are shared on social channels, on-air and online.
