Fans share selfies for a chance to appear during Britain’s Next Top Model
Lifetime UK are using never.no to give fans of Britain’s Next Top Model the opportunity to appear in socially-enhanced on air promos.
Viewers can share a photo of themselves on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #BNTMSelfie for the chance to see themselves on air during the show.
never.no’s social moderation platform STORY is used to collect the incoming social content. BNTM moderators can then vet the content and select an entrant that meets compliance regulations. STORY also lets the user view a preview of the clip before rendering a broadcast-quality version at the click of a button.
Every week, 10-second and 20-second promos are shown during the show giving two viewers the star treatment. The show’s host Abbey Clancy is seen using an ipad to display the chosen viewer’s photo and social handle.Additionally, Lifetime UK are using STORY’s auto-response feature to send a reply to everyone who entered and encourage them to tune in.
Fans have loved seeing themselves in the ad and have even shared videos of themselves on TV to their own social networks.
