Channel 4 are using never.no’s social moderation platform STORY to engage audiences and include social media content in the World Para Athletics Championships broadcast.
As well as content from their audience, Channel 4 are monitoring social media activity around the Championships and the athletes to include as part of their coverage. Understanding the conversation from audiences and athletes as it happens gives producers the ability to drive the editorial based on what's trending.
Posts from athlete social profiles, photos shared at the stadium and conversations around major hashtags such as #London2017 and #ParaAthletics are all managed from within the web-based platform.
Additionally, Channel 4 are encouraging viewers to share their thoughts during the broadcast by Tweeting @c4paralympics or using the hashtag #c4paralympics.
Using a social management platform like STORY lets producers easily gather, filter and moderate social media content before choosing what’s relevant to be published live on-air.
