Project: Hollyoaks & Domino's Competition
As part of their Facebook Live coverage from the British Soap Awards red carpet, Channel 4 and Lime Pictures ran a live social media competition giving viewers the chance to win a tasty treat from Domino’s Pizza – sponsors of Hollyoaks.
The British broadcaster used never.no’s audience engagement platform STORY to manage the competition.
Viewers were encouraged to comment throughout the Facebook Live event for a chance to win £30 worth of pizza from Domino’s to enjoy that evening. As well as getting the Hollyoaks gossip from stars on the red carpet, the show’s host Ashley James read out the incoming messages from the audience.
never.no’s Competition Management module was used to aggregate thousands of entries received via Facebook during the 30 min eligibility period. STORY gave producers an efficient way to manage the content, randomly select a winner and generate reports that met competition compliance.
The social competition gave audiences an added incentive to tune-in and participate.
