Eurovision fans love to interact and go all out for the yearly event. How could BBC facilitate audience interaction and participation. BBC producers needed a way to allow their audience to engage with the broadcast via Social Media and Mobiles.
By using the never.no Interactivity Suite the BBC was able to seamlessly connect to all major social media sites and accept incoming SMSs. This allowed real-time viewer data to flow into the control booth where producers, with one-click, could select which comment would appear on air. All approved comments were then ingested directly into the Vizrt powered on air graphics.
