Client: Don’t Look Down
Project: Carte Blanche/WeChat
Don’t Look Down Convergence Agency integrates WeChat into their programming, enabling the audience to send messages and engage with live polls.
South Africa’s longest-running investigative journalism programme, Carte Blanche, utilises WeChat for audience interaction. The M-Net program encourages the audience to send messages and participate in polls via WeChat as well as on social media.
Viewers can easily submit their vote during live polls by sending their answers to the dedicated CarteBlanche WeChat ID. never.no’s social management platform STORY is used to gather and moderate the dynamic poll data from WeChat as well as hashtag polls on Twitter and Facebook. The aggegrated votes are then combined and the results are published live on air during the show.
WeChat is just one of the many data sources STORY can manage. Take a look at our blog which explores several ways to use live polls to engage audiences.
