We’re proud to be working with leading broadcasters and partners to manage social content from viewers, athletes and journalists for major sports event coverage this summer.
never.no’s moderation platform STORY is being used to include social media content in live coverage of Tour de France, World Para Athletics Championships, Giro d'Italia and UEFA Women’s Euro 2017. Broadcasters Channel 4 and ITV are harnessing the immense social conversation around popular sporting events as part of their coverage and Eurosport presenters are using Prompter to manage audience reaction and social polls live on air.
Tour de France fans are encouraged to interact throughout the ITV4 coverage by sharing their thoughts via Twitter and Facebook. Mammoth Graphics are using STORY to gather and publish the incoming social media content directly into the broadcast graphics for live playout.
Additionally, fans can ask questions using #ITVtour and have them answered onair by commentators in a live Q&A.
Eurosport uses STORY to source audience content for presenters live during the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia. never.no’s Prompter tool gives presenters the ability to access team and rider info, read out comments from viewers and discuss poll results live during the races.

On Channel 4, STORY is being used for the World Para Athletics Championships and UEFA Women’s Euro 2017.
As well as content from their audience, Channel 4 are monitoring social media activity around the Championships and the athletes to include as part of their coverage. Understanding the conversation from audiences and athletes as it happens gives FilmNova producers the ability to drive the editorial based on what's trending.
Posts from athlete social profiles, photos shared at the stadium and conversations around major hashtags such as #London2017 are all managed from within STORY before being published to Moov live broadcast graphics. Additionally, Channel 4 are encouraging viewers to share their thoughts during the broadcast by Tweeting @c4paralympics or using the hashtag #c4paralympics.
Using social as a key part of sports programming enables producers to not only engage with your audience, but to get expert commentary about events and manage photos and videos from journalists, athletes, influencers and celebrities.
