About Us

We make TV social, we make Advertising dynamic

When never.no was founded in 1999, the company quickly laid its roots in pioneering interactive TV (yes, we powered those cheesy games of sending an SMS to see if you and your ‘crush’ were a compatible couple!). Since then our company philosophy has always been about making TV more engaging, keeping us ahead of the curve, continuously developing our technology to keep up with the changes in audience interaction trends for broadcast, digital, mobile and social media consumption.

We’re a small but mighty team with a diverse customer base spread across the globe. We pride ourselves in being innovators in the social TV space and, most recently, dynamic advertising. The results of increased viewership, brand awareness and engagement we’re helping achieve with our clients speak for themselves.

TV can be dynamic, even if it's linear. People share, talk and want to interact with TV and Advertising on a daily basis. We make that interaction an influential part of the broadcast or ad in a dynamic, live and visual way. Read more about our platform.

Business Development

Kelly joined never.no nearly 9 years ago to invest in a technology that he believes has huge potential to innovate linear and digital TV advertising. When he’s not preaching the mega value pop of “social commercials” he is rather busy with a 5-year-old boy named Philip and a 16-month old girl named Annabelle. He never knew (pun intended) that Parenting = On Call Butler Service, Private Chef catering and 24/7 Chauffeur duty mostly. Since Kelly is 45 years old, he says he’s officially in the midst of a Midlife Crisis which has him doing masochistic things like running half marathons instead of drinking beers at the pub. Kelly cannot remember the last time he read a book tragically since he usually falls asleep after the first page every night.

Chief Technology Officer

Taco joined never.no in 2013, coming over from one of our customers where he spent almost 2 decades working on SMS and messaging architecture while this was still hot. Being the sole Dutch employee, he frequently smuggles cheese and stroopwafels from his home country into Oslo and constantly tries to understand Norwegian culture. In his spare time he’s obsessed with cats and penguins, theoretical physics and leads a parallel existence as garagerocker and concert-dj. Not always simultaneously though.

Executive Producer

Executive Producer

Matt Welton has been producing interactive entertainment in NYC for 25 years and loves to talk about it.  Almost too much.  Please do not get him started on designing console and online video games in the 90's. Especially do not ask about producing scripted TV while building engaged online communities for Viacom in the '00s. He has some great stories about developing and producing a UGC fan contests and socially-driven, short form web series for the NY Rangers and NY Knicks. He also speaks in volumes on skiing, basketball and 90's hip hop.

Marketing Manager

Jenna started at the never.no Oslo office in 2011 and is now based in MediaCity, Manchester. She joined the team as Marketing Assistant before taking on the role of Marketing Manager. Her Australian vocabulary confused some at first, prompting colleagues to keep an Australian slang dictionary nearby in case of emergencies. Jenna likes swimming, beach volleyball, travelling and good food (you’ve probably never seen someone get so excited reading a restaurant menu).

What our customers say about us

STORY by never.no gives Production the ability to gather, moderate and publish actually during a programme item, not 10mins later or after an ad break - right then. Speed is the key - if you can tap into social media feeds whilst the topic is still relevant or still in the moment, it becomes a way to drive up visibility and the amount of people talking about your show and brand.

It’s always exciting to be pioneering new ideas and technologies, but even moreso when it is something so perfectly in tune with a brand’s image and values. never.no gives us a fantastic opportunity to see the worlds of social media and TV advertising collide seamlessly and powerfully.

Missguided’s customers are among the most social media savvy and switched on people in the UK and across the world, and this exciting technology gives us the opportunity to reach out to our fans and followers in a more dynamic and impactful way than ever before. Our brand stands for empowerment and inclusion, and never.no offers the perfect platform to engage and involve our customers in our brand.

Using a new social TV platform enables us even greater control of gathering, managing and publishing social content on air. Social is a key element of Talking Point, driving the show’s content and discussions. Allowing viewers to have their voices heard greatly enhances the show by providing insights into what topics are important and popular amongst Singaporeans.
